Level/Grade Testing for New Students
The principal or academic counselor will evaluate students prior to school enrolment. The Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) test developed by the Northwest Evaluation Association will be administered prior to entrance into the school. This test assists with the appropriate grade/level placement of each child. The MAP test will assess each child’s aptitude in basic language arts skills and mathematical ability. Furthermore, this computer adaptive test will be administered three additional times throughout the school year (fall, winter, and spring) to measure the student’s progress.
