Faculty: Elementary
Ann Alexander Ms. Alexander received her Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Humanities from York University in Toronto and her Bachelor of Education degree from Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. She has worked in England and in Canada teaching English and working with elementary grades. Ms. Alexander is a certified teacher in the province of Ontario and also has TESL certification from Canada. This is her second year teaching in South Korea. |
Camille Butcher Ms. Butcher earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with specialized honors in English Literature from York University in Ontario, Canada. She also received a Bachelor of Education degree in the primary/junior division from the same institution. Ms. Butcher is a certified teacher in the province of Ontario, Canada, and she is also CPR certified by the Canadian Red Cross. With experience working at both the elementary level, as well as in activities outside of the traditional classroom, Ms. Butcher has a diverse background that includes participating in school support programs such as English as a Second Language, Literacy Services, Conflict Resolution, and Special Education. |
Kristin LeMaitre Mrs. LeMaitre earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Ambrose University in Iowa. She has five years teaching experience in Korea. Her experience includes nursery, elementary and middle school levels. She is also CPR and first aid certified by the American Heart Association. Mrs. LeMaitre is currently enrolled in a Wellness coaching course which she plans to use to broaden her teaching strategies. This is her 2nd year teaching at BFS and can be found in Elementary ELL this year. |
Katarina Safradin Ms. Safradin received her Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada. She also received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Languages from the same institution. She speaks German and Italian fluently and has a minor in Spanish. Ms. Safradin is a certified teacher in the province of Ontario, Canada. She has teaching experience in both Canada and Korea. This is her fifth year in the teaching profession. |
Jillian Watts Miss Watts earned a Bachelor degree in Childhood Studies with teacher certification, and a Music minor from Plymouth State University, New Hampshire. During the summers, she has been a counselor and piano teacher in New Hampshire. Additionally, she has taught elementary music for pre-School to 5th grade students at an international school in Istanbul, Turkey. This is her third year in the teaching profession. |
