Teaching Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in Busan Foreign School (BFS). We have filled all faculty positions for the 09/10 school year. We are not currently accepting applications for future faculty openings until mid-December. We encourage you to visit our website during this timeframe for more information on BFS and the programs we offer. Applicants must meet the following prerequisites:
- valid teacher’s license
- university degree in subject area
- exceptional teamwork skills
- willingness to participate in after-school activities/sports
- experience with current best practices, current teaching materials, and current instructional strategies (nursery – Grade 12)
- a minimum of two recommendation letters
Benefit package includes:
- Two year contracts
- Salary is 2,300,000 Won per month for B.A. / B.Ed. and 2,500,000 Won for M.A. / M. Ed.
- After completing one year the salary increases to 2,400,000 Won (BA) and 2,600,000 Won (MA)
- Severance pay
- Contract renewal bonus
- Housing or housing allowance provided
- Free tuition for employee’s children
- 8 weeks paid vacation first year
- 10-14 paid national holidays per year
- 50/50 split on medical insurance
- 5 days paid sick leave per year
- 5 days paid compassionate leave per year
- Airfare reimbursed for overseas hires
- Visa change expenses paid for local hires
