On Thursday, September 8th, the United States Consul General Roberto Powers visited Busan Foreign School to speak with our American families and teachers.

His speech focused on two topics. The first was Routine American Citizen Services (ACS) services, including Passport Services and Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA), Registration through Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP), Voter registration, Notary services, Federal Tax Reporting, and Assisting with Federal Benefits.
The second was Special Consular Services (SCS) related emergency services, including Welfare and Whereabouts, Emergency funds, Assistance for Victims of Crime, Prison visits, Medical evacuations, and Deaths & Repatriation of remains.

We greatly appreciate the U.S. Consul General for taking the time to speak with our U.S. families and teachers.

Enrollment in the  Smart Traveler Enrollment Program is highly recommended for all U.S. citizens. The program helps U.S. citizens stay informed about safety concerns around the world. For further information about the STEP program, please visit:
